The Executive Governor of Niger State, Alhaji Mohammed Umaru Bago, recognising the potential for Niger State to play a significant role in meeting the targets in the NDCs, while repositioning the State for sustainable socioeconomic development, has included as part of his agenda, a bold initiative to Green the state’s Economy and make Niger State the Green Economy hub of Nigeria.

To drive this effort, His Excellency has assembled the first Niger State Committee on the Green Economy (NSCGE) to spearhead the development of the roadmap to achieving this objective.
